I use Tamiya smoke either from the rattle can or airbrush. The more coats you put on the darker the tint.

Step 1. Airbrush a couple of light coats of either Tamiya Smoke or flat black on the screen's underside. ;D

Here are a few pictures to kinda give you an idea how I do them. I first back tape the windscreen from the front side so that only the back side is exposed. As you can see in the photo. Then decide which color you need to tint and spray light coats on the back side of the windscreen (either rattle can or air brush). Remember with each coat it will get darker. In the next photo you can see how much difference it can make in the finished product. The first is the clear one from Hulme's 68 Eagle, the next is from Gurney's 68 Eagle which had a blue tinted screen, the next is from my Donohue 68 eagle which had a yellow tint and finally one tinted dark smoke from my 86 Skoal March.

Opps, I forgot to say, no clear is needed as the color shows through the clear plastic and looks right on without any clear.

No clear over the tint Jordan Since the underside of the screen gets sprayed, no. G

Did you thin that Tamiya Smoke, or spray it straight?
