What I have been up to lately.

I started this O scale swamp diorama a couple of years ago to enter it in the model contest at the International Narrow Guage Convention in Pittsburgh, which is about 40 minutes from where I live. The convention is coming up next week. It’s built on blue insulation foam. The trees are natural sedum plants with artificial netting applied. The dead trees are ones that I picked up in my yard and added extra material at the bottom to make look like cypress trees. The vines are dried tomato plant roots. All the structures are scratch built. I painted the swamp water using acrylic craft paints and covered it with acrylic gloss medium. Business has been on the slow side for the last couple of months but it as given me a chance to finish this and produce a supply of model train kits to sell at the convention.
