My F-82 Project

Some know that I am very interested in airplanes. In fact, I write feature stories on the Sport of Air Racing for Air Classics Magazine. I have always loved the F-82 Twin Mustang. There was a New Year's day build challenge. I decided to see if I could build these two 1/72 Monogram F-82's in 24 hours. Well that crashed and burned but they are getting closer to completion!!

I always love the creativity of earlier aviation and the P-51 is, of course, a favorite of mine. The sound those Merlins make is amazing!

Very interesting subject and well done so far. What are these markings? These look similar but not the same.
