This is a Gary Doucette kit produced in 2012. It is all resin except for the wire wheels. Gary filled another gap in Indianapolis 500 winners with this one. This was one of two identical cars built for Mike Boyle in late 1927. He was the head of a Chicago labor union and owner/sponsor of championship cars from the mid 1920s until after WWII. The car was converted to a two-man body in 1932 with a Duesenberg engine. In 1934 "Wild" Bill Cummings won the 500 in record time now powered by a 220 CID four cylinder. He also finished third in 1935 in this car. Jimmy Jackson bought the car after WWII and finished second in 1946 and fifth in 1947. Under different ownership, this durable car continued to at Indianapolis through 1951. Thanks again to Kyle for posting the photos. Enjoy, Jim.

Another beautiful build, my friend. Love your work on these Doucette kits, and I love the colors of this one.

Sharp looking build! Very nicely done and I like the history lesson, too.
