This is my first try at designing something in 3D. This is the front wing for my 72 Mosley Vivatar Eagle. It was made with TinkerCad, it's not quite perfect, but I'm getting there. While I found TinkerCads tutorials very helpful, I will probably do the final rendering in FreeCad.

You're off to a good start. Way better than what I did in my first attempt

Great job, a simple wing was what I did first, too.

Round 2. I've fixed the radius on the flare and narrowed the wedge. I find CAD very difficult to master but I am enjoying it. I still really don't understand all the processes... CAD, Chitubox, slicing. Makes my head hurt... I am absolutely AMAZED at what guys like Juanjo are doing in CAD. I can't see myself ever doing anything on that scale.

Nice to see someone making these first steps into this realm.
Think I will need a bit of kit with a bit more uummpphhh before I even think about trying what so many of you do so well.
Am a tad worried that once I start I won't be able to stop. There is an awful lot of material out there that has never been done at any scale.....
Looking forward to the progress on this one.

I've managed to sort out the overall shape of the wing. And I fixed the radius to the tire. That's assuming a 4mm ride height and a tire diameter of 23mm. I think I might try and print one this weekend and see how it looks.

I have successfully printed my wing! First up is my printer, got this second-hand from someone on the forum. An Elegoo Mars 2... I got some water-washable resin... I had some trouble with the printer not recognizing the file types. I ended up backdating my Chitubox to version 1.8. Then the print wouldn't stick to the build plate. Had to change the cure time settings in Chitubox. But it printed.. I printed the tires just for the heck of it... Being a test, I learned a few things... I should have printed it upside-down so the supports were on the bottom. I also think I can reduce the amount of supports as well. BUT IT WORKED!
