Ok, I got a question about something with fenders... Working on a Fujimi 917K and was wondering if anyone had and idea for the paint for the "fiberglass" intake on the engine.

Difficult question. Some posts here have talked about using fabric dyes on windshields which might be something to think about. I used blue and yellow Sharpie Highlighters on the windscreens of '70s and '80s Indy cars but they leave a seam/overlap. Your photo is more of an orange/yellow to me. Not sure this helps. I will be curious about how you deal with this. Jim

I ran into this challenge a number of years ago with brake scoops on a 1982 Ferrari. I settled on using Testors Acrylic Champagne, a light metallic gold. With all the new Vallejo paints and Gundam paints I’d take a look at them looking at their light golds or light “flesh” tone paints.

Maybe paint it white first, and then paint over the white with Tamiya X-24 clear yellow with a little clear red mixed in and a tiny bit of black or brown?

I'd paint it a light sand color then apply a dark brown wash.

Very nice! Is that the Heller kit?
I'm in the process of putting an HRM engine bay into the Fujimi kit.
