And yet the series will continue to wonder why they face such an uphill battle trying to get people to care that they exist outside of May.

This is a clear case of Penske cheating and it’s the tip of the iceberg where that company is concerned. The man who owns IMS and the Indycar Series should be above reproach and yet, here is another example of “The Unfair Advantage.” That said, Indycar must do a better job of policing everyone in the series. But, please, don’t delude yourselves that RP doesn’t have blood on his hands.

I see no reason to paint RP in such terms. He's won 17 Indy 500s without violating the rules and has an additional win by cleavely finding loopholes in the stock block boast rules by having one built by Ilmor. I applaud Indycar for the move. Penske's cars used unauthorized push to pass on restarts and were penalized for it, albeit only when the fault was discovered prior to practice for the Long Beach GP. If Penske has to resort to Logano wearing a webbed glove to gain an aero advantage then Penske's "cheating" cannot be too sophisticated. And remember that RP owns Indycar and did nothing to obscure or manipulate the penalties applied to his 3 cars after the push to pass infractions were discovered at Long Beach.
