Very impressive. According to the sofa, they must be 1/12?

Very impressive. According to the sofa, they must be 1/12? Thanks. Yes, 1/12th. 2 1/2 Tamiyas and 2 1/2 Protars. The B2 is the Tamiya kit with the Protar engine/trans.

Do you have a favorite? Very nice work. I like you grafted two kits together to make one of these.

Superb family pic! Tamiya+Protar? It couldn't have been a very easy marriage

Superb family pic! Tamiya+Protar? It couldn't have been a very easy marriage I already had the Protar built, they actually make nice engines. The rest of the kit was junk parts. So I just used it on the Tamiya build, it fit quite easily and mated up well, a few tweaks for some mounting points but no big deal.
I have two 312 engines leftover, I might build one up just as a stand alone display engine.

I have a T3 to resurrect / complete, and a 1512 to try to make something out of. I'd like a 640 to finish the collection if I could get one for less than my firstborn.

Hey Paul, really nice grouping there! Interesting combination on the B2! I agree that Protar was pretty good at the engines, decent detail and reasonable assembly. Been lying low since hip replacement surgery. Will be 3 weeks next Monday. Recovery/rehab is going well, but seems slow to me! Just got back to the bench in short bursts the last few days, finishing up a car I had hoped to finish before surgery (not the 1/12 Tyrrell, that one should be next once I can hobble to the basement spray booth!). When you say you are looking for a 640, I assume you mean the Tamiya 641/2, correct? If so, I'll ask around, may be able to find one. You wouldn't be interested in a Rosso 1/8 643, would you? Aftermarket decals and resin standing drive figure included! Hope to be a more consistent presence here again now!
