I have to say that the last seven days of my life were the most unusual and unpredictable that I have ever had. I have gone from needing a right knee replacement and rehab to needing an aortic heart valve replacement and a pacemaker installed. You guessed it, knee replacement was not going to be the main priority because the heart had to be working properly. Some of you have probably been wondering how I knee rehab has been going but the first part of my rehab is going to be with the heart. With the help from my doctors, it slowly working its was back to shape and that is where I am today. Its funny that I need to take a beak from writing this now. I am still trying to get the tastes of medicine and anesthesia out of my system and its hard to think straight. This is the latest from Silver City Models, and yes, the 84 Bud Lola is coming along nicely with help from a very capable design team. LOL Thanks to all. Kevin imgur.com/xgwQ9dp

Well, isn't that a kick in the shorts! Glad it sounds like you're progressing well, keep it up! Maybe thank your bad knee for saving your life, who knows. I'm just finishing rehab on a right shoulder repair (2nd time for this shoulder, first done in 2010) and preparing for a hip joint replacement soon, hopefully without any heart-related detours! Hang in there & remember the 6 Million Dollar Man!

Get well soon, Kevin! Yes, my heart valve was leaking, but my Doctors got it fixed by eliminating the stress, and medication that I no longer need to take--no surgery! I can only count my blessing, and hope that soon you too can say "I HAD a heart problem". Take it easy. Don't stress out. Know that we are all behind you, and recover well, and soon. We need you here!

Glad they caught everything Kevin and praying for the best outcome. Sounds like the chassis is still good, just need a new motor, spark box, and CV joint. As long as AJ does not try to fix you with a screwdriver and hammer, like his March 82C, you will be good LOL

Kevin: As you noted, we become so accustomed to each other that we sometimes forget the “long strange trip” we each take. However, as you also noted, it is a blessing to have friends and fellow modelers that surround us with love and caring. All the best to you, my friend! And thanks for your friendship as well as your contributions to our hobby! Tim
