I have noticed some very detailed F1 models available in paper. There really look pretty good. Has anyone tried to build any of these?

I have a lot of them. Mostly F1 that no one has produced in plastic. I have not built them as paper kits. I use the paper as a blue print for cutting plastic (mostly for the body work). I then add bits and pieces from my scraped cars. This works fairly well. Here is an example of a BT48 that I have in progress. One other note. Iowa racing is currently selling these kits out. Once they are gone you will need to purchase them on line from the actual artists. RussD

Dang it Russ, I wish you'd finish the BT48 or sell it to me (I'm lazy and don't want to build one from scratch). It looks so good and it's one of Niki Lauda's cars. A Brabham and a Lauda car two good reasons to build one.
Patrick
Ps what's Iowa racing?

Pat, That one has been on the bench for quite a while (along with about 15 other cars that are about half done). RE: Iowa Racing ... Here is the link. These people are very nice. Its a little model shop in Creston, Iowa. Its run as a sub-heading of the Half-Moon hobby store. www.halfmoonhobbies.com/IowaRacing/home.html

I'm tempted to get one of the Jordan's ;D afterall, Revell did the snake scheme, the hornet scheme, but not the shark scheme. Good thing is the paper models have the shark car. Would be interesting to see how close I can get to the real McCoy with a donor Revell F1 kit and the paper model for making pieces!

I have several paper models, but haven't tried to build one yet.
