Photo help needed

I came across this very interesting photo. It appears to be Danny Ongais driving what I think is the Orbiter, and I want say in the early 80’s. Does anyone have any information on this car? I am surprised that Ongais would lower himself to drive this turd.

It's definitely at Michigan, because the pit wall was orange 🍊

And it has sliding skirts which means 1980.

Then he raced this car in the 1980 Gould Grand Prix at Michigan
