I started a while ago to built the Indy 1967 version of this kit, that was for the 1966 race.Old kit that everyone here knows, for sure. There are things to modify on the nose, as the decoration, add flaps and two sides Naca air induct, cutting the two upper air inducts. Have built 1/43 kits, but my first try for a such scale plastic kit.have only done the MPC Howmet TX so far.

I have this kit as well and and thought of building the same version.
Are you going to rework the engine, trans, and suspension or leave it as the kit?
Who is making your decals?
Will you be using the kit tires or getting new ones?
Years ago I built the Red Ball Lola sister kit and I do not think there was one kit part that wasn't modified. Back then Michael (Indycals) created a wonderful set of decals for my 1/16 Lola conversion. Know that when your done you will have a wonderful 1 of 1 unique model.
I'll be watching with great interest in hope of getting some good ideas from your build.
Happy modeling!
