Lance Sellers 1957 Kurtis 500G

Another build of one of Lance's kits. This was actually the first kit I bought off of him and I had started it prior to my Novi build. But had a self imposed time crunch for the that so I slid this one over to the backburner briefly while I finished the Novi. Just got back to it and knocked it right out. Went together with no issues. I actually lost Lance's handy hood vent decal pulling it out of the water. Sooo I made an attempt at scratching together a vent out of scale mesh and styrene. Perhaps a bit big and I may tweak on it, but for now I am  calling it complete.  The Bowes livery looks great on everything and this is no exception. I had a lot of fun with it.

Thanks Mark! That’s good old Tamiya titanium gold. Closest color in my arsenal that I thought might resemble the color of those wheels.

Thanks a lot Calvin! To be honest, it did intimidate me when I first got back into building models. I missed out on buying some kits because of that. However, once I realized I should just approach it like any other kit and just adjust my processes a little it really helped me get over that. Really having a ball with resin kits now!!
