Looks terrific, especially considering the scale. Love that car colour.

Juanjo: Axiom es fantastic! A few questions: 1)I have noticed that your 3D printing is extremely smooth. Do you do a lot of sanding, or have you found a way to produce them without the usual looking layers that I have seen on other 3D printing? This picture seems to show what I’m asking, even though it is a little extreme… Is it just the amount of time to create or the size of the slices? 2) Is it as hot in Barcelona as it is in Texas? We’ve been 100+ for several weeks with no rain. As always, I appreciate your skills! I have the distinct feeling you are an engineer with the soul of an artist… Keep up the good work! Tim

Tim It's all about diminishing returns. I print my parts at 50µ. I've very pleased with the smoothness and detail although at some angles you can see some stepping. But here's the thing. At 50µ my wasp body takes 6.5 hours to print. At 10µ it takes 28 hours and on that part you're getting very little in return. I did try a 1/25 scale Indycar tire at 10µ and the results were great - but it took 18 hours to print. Those parts in your photo are very tiny if they can print in 30-80 minutes.

Tim Tim, I don't sand after printing. After many tests I have found a resin and printer settings with which I get a good ratio between quality and printing time. I print at 40 µm, exposure time 2 seconds. Aprox. speed is 12 mm/hour. And yes, in Barcelona this august is very hot and no rain, although there is a storm alert tomorrow.
