Lance Sellers 1956 Novi Vespa Special

Some of you may know, I was searching for Novi kits to build for my father. They were his favorite cars and drivers as a kid in the late forties and into the fifties. He is 83 years young and in an assisted living due to issues falling at home, and not being good with his meds. So I try to brighten up his environment where I can. He is the reason I love racing today and it has been a part of his life since he was 5 years old. I've gotten him some racing photos of cars I've worked on and just random things like that but have been wanting to build him something for a while now. Gary Davis here on the board came through for me and sold me this Sellers kit and I cannot thank him enough. And just a few days ago I met our friend Mark and he sold me a Jorgensen front wheel drive with some other bits and pieces to make a kit, so the plan now is to have a display of both together for my Dad. Can't thank those two enough for making this possible. For now I have this one in a small case by itself in my Dad's room until I can get the other one built and a bigger display sourced.
As for this kit, it is my first effort at building one of Lance's kits and it went pretty smoothly, I think. It went together without a hitch and I'm happy with the result. And my Dad loves it too. He was pretty happy when I pulled the case out of the bag and gave it to him. We got it set up on one of his built in shelves so he can see it. That's the story and here is the model.
