Hi all!
I am continuing my efforts to reproduce (sooner or later...) all the models of the cars with which Mario Andretti ran.
The modeling work was a bit complicated, given the lack of documentation.
Always too little, however, so I was forced to do my best with insufficient documentation.
In addition to the bodies, I also drew other pieces (engine, gearbox, exhausts, tires, seat…) to be obtained through 3D printing, but for now my friend has sent me only the pics of the bodies. When I have received everything I will also post pics of the other pieces.

While I started working on the Parnelli VPJ2 (in a few days I hope to post some pics to show what I’m doing), my friend who I usually ask for help with his 3D printer managed to print me the pieces of two other 1/43 scale cars that I plan to make in the future.

I have not yet received the printed pieces because he lives in another city and he must send them to me, but in the meantime I post some photos taken by him. He got caught up in the enthusiasm and he already sprayed the bodies with a primer, even though I had told him that I had to make some modifications and other preliminary works before spraying the primer and then painting.
Moreover, in an attempt to reproduce the cars as faithfully as possible I have again exaggerated reducing the thickness of some details. The body of the T500 has deformed after printing (see in the red circles) and will force me to repair it manually when I receive it.

In addition to what I was able to find on the web It was useful this book on the history of McNamara Racing (unfortunately written in German, a language I do not speak...) where there are some drawings (not too faithful…) of the T500 and a few rare photos (but only in black and white) of both cars.

I hope you like them.
See you soon! Ciao!
