I was watching Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace with my daughter and there is one scene when a pod racer crashes in front of young Anakin and goes flying up in the air and performs a pirouette as Anakin flies underneath (as seen from his cockpit perspective). My daughter remembered that long ago I had shown her a clip of an Indycar or F1 car having that same kind of incident that was the inspiration for that bit of CGI animation. Since the movie came out in 1999 it had to have been from that decade but I cannot recall who/what/when. Does anyone have any idea what this incident was? Thanks.
