I got an original issue IMC Lotus 38 last Saturday, to build of course, & discovered that it uses a metal axle in back, something I didn't know.
Besides having 2 Lotus 29 kits to build, I also have a small amount of extra 29 parts. So, my question is this; is the track width between the 29/38 the same, or very close? I dont mean the offset BTW, I can factor that in. If the track width is the same, I can use the extra halfshafts, etc to better detail the rear end with what I have in the spare parts.

Just in using Google and not pulling out any of my books, I found the Lotus 29 had a track of 56”, front and rear and the Lotus 38 was 60” front and rear.

Not what I was hoping for, but that's just a 4mm difference in 1/25 scale, so I can likely fix that with the addition of 4mm of the correct size Evergreen tubing.
