Looking very nice! I’m watching with greenness at this green beauty as it’s the one Etzel I didn’t get that I wish now I had. Looking forward to the next installment.

Gentlemen: Thanks for the kind comments! This turned out to be a super enjoyable build. 1920 technology on overgrown bicycle tires. The 1920 race is important for several reasons... 1)Changed from 1 lap average for qualifying to 4 lap average. Made Indy 500 qualifying more difficult, to say the least. 2) Winner used only 1 set of tires: Firestone "Barney Oldfields". Firestone tires would win every 500 until 1967. 3)$100 Lap Leader prize established. Joe Boyer,a Chevrolet team driver lead 92 laps and the $9,200 was almost as much as Second Place money! Rear view... Front with distinctive nose... Gaston's "workplace"... Engine pics... Mechanical brakes...wow... Taking the checkered flag...this idea was soon dropped! In Victory Lane; note the brake line... I hope you guys like her as much as I did! Comments, questions welcome! Tim

Ooooh, a green race car! Lore has it that Gaston's wreck at the Beverly Hills board track later in 1920 was the origin of the "green" superstition.
A great build of a very significant car. So, is that woodgrain a decal or what?

Another GREAT build from your bench, Tim! The History is very cool. That Indiana Jones bridge for the flag man...is not a good idea. Nothing to hang on too if that thing tips...even a little. I wonder what GENIUS thought of that Brilliant idea. Do you know how long they used that Bridge?
Wow...after I went back and really looked hard...I could make out a wire in front of the flag man. Still...that guy had to be high on booze (or something else) to climb out there and flag that Race...LOL

Brian(Hurtibise56): Forgot to answer this! It is a decal… bought for my Aston Martin DBR 1…if you need some, let me know… Joe: 1/25th…the Indycar model standard… Thanks for all the kind comments! Tim
