So, I've had a couple longer term projects going on. To keep my mojo and sanity while I am doing these I work on less strenuous, or less important to me builds. I work on them while waiting on glue and paint to dry, or if I don't have a lot of time at once to dedicate to building, or if I'm trying to decide how to tackle something. I decided to make a post of the last few I've finished up while slowly working on the more important stuff.
Firstly, a 1968 Chevelle from Revell's recent tooling. A wonderful, modern kit. Totally box stock except I wanted it to have sort of a weekend warrior feel so I went with some Centerline style wheels and fat tires out back. Went together smoothly and in no time at all.
Secondly, my first ever attempt at an Aoshima kit. It is Takumi Fujiwara's AE86 from the Japanese cartoon Initial D. A wonderful little kit. Once again, completely box stock. Racing seat on the driver's side and a nice little 20 valve Toyota under the hood. Good fun. Another super quick build
Lastly we have Revell's VW Golf. This was a remarkably nice little kit as well. Not many parts but a nice amount of little details. This one went so smoothly that I decided to go ahead and add some plug wires to spruce up the engine bay. I also thought to myself that no 85 Golf ever had an easy life. So I went ahead and did some light weathering on it as well.
None of these builds or kits are remarkably interesting or really have much going for them. But I still wanted to share in case anyone might be interested in any of these subjects. Going out of town for work next week and I'm going to be bringing my long term project along so that hopefully I can make some headway on it while I have downtime. If you made it this way, thanks for looking!
