As time passes, im beginning to think thoughts previously unthought. To wit, the ultimate disposition of my collections. I have no plans or suspicion that I won’t be around for many years to come, but time does move on, so we also have to do the same. Enough maudlin philosophy, my plan is to at least preserve a digital record of some of my output that can be accessed (and hopefully enjoyed) by anyone interested in such things. Im starting with my CanAm collection as it is as complete as it can be- probably no future additions- and it’s less numerous than other sets. Here is the collection, detailed, year by year, accounts to follow

This is so odd. On a number of fronts.
First off, I have seen snippets of this amazing collection before in other posts. But this car by car documentation is wonderful. Great subjects finished so well.
I said odd, because I am sitting here working thru a Shadow DN2 slot car conversion and I was thinking again about what happens to all my 'lumps' of resin and white metal when the time comes. I touched on this in a thread a while back.
Maybe this is it. Maybe a digital museum is the way to go. An actual museum would be fantastic. But that all comes down to money and maintenance. Unless everything ends up in a decent local existing facility.
We all know the racing sports cars website. Race by race, car by car picture documentation. Yup. Even a website needs some wedge to keep it going, but is this the way to document what we have all built? I am not tech savvy but a dedicated website to built models listed class by class, year by year. Small bit of info on the car and perhaps more importantly, info on the builder/manufacturer. I know some of you build and do not display for your own reasons. This could be what gets them out into the light. Not the job of a minute I know. And it would be massive if the response was there. Would another Proboard set up work? I know this tends to work chronologically but if folders were set up in advance? Better keep quiet hadn't I? Before I end up biting off more than I can chew. Just a thought given this approach. Oh. And anyone got any thoughts on this then maybe in another thread.
Stop the ramble now. This is all about these amazing models. I am going back to marvel at them again. Looking forward to the next few posts on this thread....
Oh. One last question. Anyone got any scale drawings of the two shadows shown here? The finished model pics gives me more reference than many of the pics I can find.

Very impressive collection, and a great idea for posterity! However, you really need to edit the 1971 champion's name!
