Has anyone here attempted this livery? I’d love to convert a 1/18 Greenlight to this.

Someone has done the car before and a very nice job. I have it myself, bought it on E-Bay the year of that race before Dan's terrible fate. I do not know who did the car but I am pretty sure it is a member on this site.

I'm the one that did both this and the 2010 camo cars. They were in 1/25th scale (converted Hot Wheels). I just grabbed a digital camo pattern that looked right from the interwebs and made my own decals, which was basically making a giant sheet of camo and cutting and overlapping until it looked right. The sponsor decals went on last, and then coated the finished product. Just lots of trial and error decal work. I'd be happy to help in any way. They were just waterslide decals, Testors brand as I recall. I did separate sheet for the pattern and then the sponsors. The font on the 4 was a tribute to the number 4 Lloyd Ruby ran at Indy in 1969 as Rube had recently passed.

Years ago I bought a sheet of these decals from Patto’s place I think it was called…pretty expensive but unfortunately looking over them when I received them from Australia I could tell they weren’t gonna work on a 1/18 Greenlight.

Glad to hear that he is still around as I saw that he hadn't posted for some time.
