I'm no longer accepting one off projects dealing with making one-off molds and casting work. The rubber I buy to use with my resin business has doubled in price and it DOSE NOT make any sense to do these on off projects anymore. Let's do the math, if I get a one off project from someone and I calculate the cost of the amount of rubber I'm using is $25 worth and charged twice as much (which is the rule of thumb) I'm getting a profit of $25 for use of that rubber. But if I used that $25 worth of rubber for a my next high production run of a new kit and plan on casting 40 kits/parts from that same mold, its a $1,000 return. The expense are a killer with this business, more and more.
Plus the time kills me every time with these one off projects, it's killing me WAY more than a person thinks.
Thanks for understanding

The only time I'll accept special requests is if I'm able to have the rights to the master to mass produce for my own catalog for the rest of my lifetime.

I currently have a box of one off molds just sitting rotting, thousands of dollars worth wasted from a business standpoint.
I'm trying to make my business more streamline, so I can invest in bigger and better tools. Not a bunch of rotting rubber in a box.

Fully understand. Thanks for some stuff you have done for me in the past. You're welcome. I have many friends I do one off stuff for, but my sales are down 40% this year and supplies have doubled, its a cashflow nightmare. Its nothing personal, it's just business 😉

Small special requests are a killer - and we get them. Every. Day.
For those of you who have emailed me with requests in the last year you know I had to go to a 100% 'no special request' policy. It doesn't matter if it's easy, quick, or if you are willing to pay a premium for it. The only way to be fair to everyone who asks is to do special requests for no one. I also have a 'no discuss' policy about subjects I may or may not do. I've had too many projects that I've said "I'm working on" and 5 years later I'm still 'working on' them, and others that I said I'd never do, and that I've done. The best thing is to just not comment on any possible subject - not even to say 'that's not going to happen'.
As Calvin says, nothing personal - we truly appreciate the support we get from all of you and we want to keep bringing you new products and pushing boundaries as long as we can.

The profit margin in that line of work must be very narrow. If you have the rights to the one-off molds, why not post a list and see if any of us would be interested?

I agree with Mark: Make a list of the molds you have and see if there's any interest. With or without running gear, suspension, etc.
