I would like to thank Michael at Indycals for doing the decals for this kit. As always they are very accurate, the size proportions as spot on and they make the model. It’s a good time of the year for thanking him for all he does for us in this hobby. Many of the kits produced by not only me but other manufactures, would never have seen the light of day without his artistic abilities. I do have a question, I did not think that neon colors show up very well in photographs? You can clearly see that they showed up in this photo. Is the ability of the new camera phones that allows this? Just curious. Thanks Kevin

I don’t know anything about neon decals but those both look great. I’d like to say thank you to Michael as well because without his excellent product my finished builds would be much worse. His decals make all my builds.

Neon paints have certain chemicals in them that when activated by UV radiation get excited and then emit a long wavelength of light to stabilize back down. Those wavelengths are outside the ranges of the most common 35mm films. On top of that, the use of filters didn't help. Digital cameras have sensors with a much wider range which some can now get close to and include the ones from neons. Tack on led technology of monitors and you get what you have today.
I am really looking forward to these kits and using some of these decals. I am getting ready to place an order with Michael this weekend as the new Champion decals are just amazing!
