After 4 years and parts from 3 different Monogram kits, it's finished. Yes, it can be done, lol. I added the ignition wires, fuel lines and throttle linkage.

Painted Tamiya AS10 with several coats of Testors Clearcote. (exhaust tip was painted black after photos were taken, lol.)

all 1/24th, all have at least an engine if not full detailed, curbsides don't do much for me.
Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Nice job on it, especially the detail work. Amazing how small it is when you realize these other larger cars are quite tiny themselves.
Why did it take 3 kits?

The first attempt, I figured I glued something in the wrong place (parts fit is very vague and the instructions clear as mud), then screwed up the body trying to make it fit. Then I bought a curbside version hoping to use the body, never got around to it. Then I got a duplicate of the original, realized I hadn't done anything wrong, just had a warped body. All went together except both rear hatches were warped, so kit number 3 just to get a hatch that would fit.
Now I have an unopened curbside I don't need and enough parts to build a whole fleet of them. I was going to stuff the engine in that 356 you see, but it came with a motor of it's own.
I might just build a Porsche powered Beetle or Kharmann Ghia for fun.
