As a kid in Milton-Freewater, OR I made my own personal racetrack out in the field and would race everything on it with friends, including real cars. Here's a glimpse of what it was like. Sorry for the low-quality video, thats just all we had back-in-the-day!  |

That's really cool, must have been a blast John Yes it was. Unfortunately we lived right next to the river and there was so much rock that it was impossible for me to really add any banking |

Pretty much a one groove track! Looks like it was fun! Originally it was for 4 wheelers and motorcycles but we built a dirt track car. So yeah, one groove lol |

Had a track abit like that behind grampa’s house. It was a good bit smaller. My brother and I took turns driving grampa’s “field car” a ‘53 Ford sedan. Around and around. I once was able get up to second gear before losing my nerve. As I remember, there was a good bit of understeer, not enough power to break the rear loose. Great memories. Thanks for helping me recall those times.

Looks like a lot of fun but where's the trophy queen? Duane Lol unfortunately I was too much of a geek back then and didn't hunt down trophy girls 😅 But I did have girls say hi to me at the go kart track. I was more of a potential stud at the real racetrack. |
