There's a guy in Texas that makes beautiful stuff, and is nice (and clever) enough to make it any scale you want. Great quality, good prices, good service, very nice to deal with. I thought I'd taken a shot of it as delivered, but I guess not. Anyway, it's a 1/12th scale Ford small block, which I'm converting to a radical F5000 for a future project.
Started by converting to dry sump with external belt driven oil pump
Removing the fuel pump allowed me to relocate the alternator. The supplied intake and carb just to show what you get, the detail is amazing:
The Hilborn is from Shapeways, very disappointed with the rough finish, also hard as blazes to work with. Modified by grafting the front and back of the Ford to it:
A coat of paint and installed:
Probably overkill for a SBF but like I said........RADICAL
So ready for the car, which I haven't built yet:
The fuel pump I drove of the distributor shaft, barrel valve neatly tucked in the middle. The rest will have to wait:
cheers Paul

Good-looking FORD engine, Paul. I like Texas 3D Custom engines. I have a few of his offy's and flat-heads. Good guy to talk with also.
