I love that Round 2 is re-releasing these old kits and the modifieds. I’ve mostly been around sprint car racing in my life but these stocker kits are just a lot of fun to build without having to worry about much

That looks great! Glad you got it built! Just remember, not all of them go together as easily as that one. The Torino, Galaxie, Buick and Impala are the best of the bunch. The GTO is pretty good, too, but mostly unobtanium nowadays. Never cared much for the Olds, altho it builds easily, as in "real life" it was a little too big to make a good race car. The Falcon and Chevelle are basically unbuildable OOB.

The others just depend on what I can find for reasonable prices and when or what Round 2 re-releases and I can get from hobby lobby when they have their sales. Just fun kits to have around to sling together without going deep into the builds!

Hey thanks! I actually have ordered from that website in the past and pop over occasionally to check their Dutch sales and other kits.

If i had a choice of any racing to watch sprint cars in the dirt is it. We have East Bay Raceway here near Tampa which is considered one of the better tracks in the country. It's been too long since i've been there... Duane

But every year I go to Florida for work and a couple of times I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to hit a track down there. It’s never worked out for me for east bay when we’ve worked in Tampa but I’ve managed to get to Volusia a couple times while we were over working around Daytona.

Nice job on your "taxicab", LOL. My family used to go to Hatfield Speedway when I was a kid and they would sometimes have that type of stock car racing there. But- my favorite was the midgets at that track, which was a third mile high banked dirt, but is no longer there.

Always loved the midgets, sprint cars and crown cars, and I never really got into the taxicab racing myself but these are just fun kits to build. 1/3 mile high banked dirt sounds awesome! I love the little bullrings we have here in Indiana.
