I an working on the Robustelli BMW 635 FPS1 transkit, it has a lot of decals, they at=re made by Cartigraph. I have used their decals before on the Bastos BMW transkit and the decals were easy to use with Solvaset solution. I just put the first one on the FPS1 and I tried Solvaset, Microsol, Scalemotorsport and none would make these co-operate. So I ordered out the AK Interactive Decal solution at $9.69 a bottle, 3 times all the others, I certainly hope it works. Any Input would be appreciated. I dont want to use a hair dryer on this little Gem because I am afraid it is thin plastic and delicate and would just melt or warp. HELP!!! Chris

When you say they aren't co-operating do you mean they aren't strong enough, or too strong? Usually Solvaset is the last resort as it's one of the strongest. Case in point, it works with my decals, but it will destroy others. Conversely Microsol barely reacts with my decals.

Normally I put Solvaset on all my decals, let them krinkle up, then as they dry they relax and conform to even the most difficult compound curve and crevices, but these decals, they just sit there like I used water only? I checked it this morning after trying all 3 and they did conform but not like normal. I did order the AK Interactive Decal solution so I will report on it when I get it in a day or so. Chris

Do you have any photos of what you're working with? I've printed decals through Cartograf before, and have had success with simply using Microsol for 1/18 helmet decals.

The one applied is under the front bumper and has multiple contours I guess I should have taken the photo from a different angle but You can tell what is going on.

Not that it really matters, but that decal paper looks different than the color paper I have gotten from Cartograf.
You don't have a low heat hair dryer? I have one that really isn't hot at all, at least not enough to damage the plastic provided you're continuously moving the dryer back and forth. I think a combination of Microsol and heat should get it to contour appropriately.

Is the printing really thick? Like you can noticeably feel it with your fingers?
