Well I wasn't there.
But with the help of one of this forum's members, I was able to make a purchase!
Message about an OOP kit I long wanted flashed in out of the blue whilst I was attending a slot car festival over here. Nearly dropped all the resin shells I had just bought at that! Gobsmacked and so grateful. Then I remembered to say yes to buying it!
You chaps have always been so helpful but this went above and beyond. Won't embarrass the Gentleman by naming him but, WOW!
Reckon if I ever get over I will be coming home a pauper with a very heavy suitcase!

Joe, if you come to this show, bring at least a bag to hold all the stuff you buy. I had a duffle bag this year and it got pretty full but I did not feel like a noobie holding my purchases the whole time LOL
The memorabilia show was very good. Got to spend some time talking with Michael, Eric, Kevin, Walt, Lance, and Bo among others. As you can see from Kevin's pictures above - Michael, Chris, Eric, and Kevin all had their wares out - very impressive work in 3D parts, decals, resin kits, and finished builds. A great time to be in our hobby!
My son had positive memories of the show back in 2019 but I told him he's not a little 7 year old so do not count on free stuff like he got at the end of the show that year. Turns out, I think he did better this year LOL. Thanks to Eric he was given a '97 Affonso Giaffone Indy team shirt. He also got an Indy 500 1/18 diecast on a '97 IRL chassis. It needs one of the front hubs fixed but hopefully that should be an easy repair job. He also picked up several items with his own money - several signed Pagenaud hero cards, some 90s Indy trading cards (they threw in a pin he wanted for free), and I got him two things from Toronto Motorsports.
I got some Ampersand kits hand delivered by Bo, best international shipping experience ever. Bought multiple pieces off of Walt, including some unmarked bodies which are now all identified. I also picked up some t-shirts and a pin from Toronto Motorsports.

Dang Jordan...sounds like you and your son really scored on the PIRATES treasure chest. LOL Couldn't make it there but...the pics that Kevin took sure puts me there...kinda. It's not like being there in person for sure.

I made it out to Indy this year after seven years, so I went over to the memorabilia show on Saturday and caught up with some of the guys- Here's a pic with Eric, Dan Bley, Chris and Michael. I also got to chat with Lance, Kevin and Terry. Man, all these guys are so talented at what they do. I just love their contributions to this hobby. I also got to finally meet one of my "online friends", as my son would say, John Fulton (2lapsdown) behind our seats in turn two. Sorry I missed you Jordan. Missed Stu as well, but maybe next year!

Nice photos. I wish I could have been there. Looks like it was a lot of fun! At least one bald-headed guy made it, though! LOL
