Lance
I don't know how to put into words what Fred meant to the Modeling world, From his Indy Car models and his Unbelievable Figures. The one he made for many of the resin kits that had drivers and all the other types of figures he made. Fred will be Missed by all that knew him and the ones that have some of his figures. He was a True Friend of mine for many Years R.I.P. Friend You Will Be Missed

Fred Lombardi: the greatest figure man in the history of our hobby…I hope that his family gets some peace…
Also, Walt, if you don’t mind, please post some of Fred’s models and figures…
Dan: My love of driver figures came from Fred. Walt would post his builds, and that convinced me that figures could give life to a build. Rest In Peace Fred; your inspiration lives on! Tim

Very sad news indeed. I have never met HIM also, but his work is living through other builders. That will never stop.
Rest in peace, Fred.

Damn... I am so sorry to hear this. Fred was an amazing model builder and an awesome person. I was honored to call him a friend. I am so glad he made it to the memorabilia show last year - that was such a pleasant surprise.

I met Fred many years ago at one of the memorabilia shows, I think when it used to be downtown. He was wonderful to chat with, as I recall, he really enjoyed my 1/43 scale builds. RIP Fred.
