WOW!
I keep thinking learning to design for 3d printing has to be worth the effort. Seeing these confirms it.
And the finished painting and decal work. Superb.

Fantastic design work! I just started 3d printing as well. What temperature range do you find works best? So for I've had good luck but I'm concerned once winter returns.

As I continue to learn to print in 3d, it seems like the temperature of the resin is important enough, I drew the Lola T-152 from the T-153, changing the nose, tail and engine. Can you make this available in 1/25 scale?
Please?

Oh Yea...a 1/25 scale kit would be AWESOME for sure!!

As a 1/43rd collector I snapped up a few of Terry's 3d printed models and have some neat results from them. Those were the ones that got me thinking about the future and getting some of the simpler lesser formula material done I have always wanted.
Saw some Radio controlled and slot car 3d printed bodies up close then saw these and its all kinda steering me that way but have no clue as yet.
Only just got my head around creating a couple of masters for resin casting which have come out OK. And I am not even doing the casting!
JJ and Terry. What software are you chaps designing in?
And JJ. Are you likely to ever share the files or the finished product with anyone who might want one? Or even post the files on a download site?
1/25th. That would be great but are the print costs prohibitive and would it mean tightening up the details even more at this bigger scale?
Just trying to understand as much as I can about the process before trying to find the time to commit.

JJ, what settings are you using plus what program are you using to design your cars. Terry

I found that resin I use (Elegoo ABS-like) works better between 19ºC to 24 ºC. Last winter 80% prints failed because I kept resin outside.

Just trying to understand as much as I can about the process before trying to find the time to commit. I use Freecad to design. There are many tutorials on Youtube. I'm thinking of sharing files in a Patreon scheme, but not in the near future. In terms of details, you can design as many details as you like, regardless of the scale you print, but when you print on a smaller scale, a lot of detail will be lost. I usually design the 1/25 scale, thinking to take into account the thickness of the final parts. In terms of printing costs, this 1/25 scale Lola T-152 weighs 100 g, the resin costs 40 USD / 1000 g and a basic 3D resin printer is about 250 USD.

pbh Until I’m able to press the print button and all the parts come out perfectly, I don’t think so.

Have you considered separating the suspension into individual pieces (1 set for each wheel)? That's what I've done for easier painting: For the angled pieces as shown above, I just 'pull' the piece so it is horizontal at the point where it meets the body. Ideally I'd have a recessed surface that the piece sides up to, but I haven't gotten that for on that project.

Ideally I'd have a recessed surface that the piece sides up to, but I haven't gotten that for on that project. Printing in 1/43 scale, I prefer to print assembled suspensions, to keep the geometry. I have learned that prints have slight warping that affects fit. Another advantage is that I apply clearcoat to the entire assembly before painting the metallic parts, which improves the finishing.

I'm making the suggestion because I've done the above approach for 1/43 without problem. Maybe you need to evaluate other parts of your process if you're getting that much warping.
