Tamiya Porsche 956: Canon

As ever, feel free to skip the words and go to the pictures below! Finally finished something up after my long work trip to Florida interrupted my building. Just polished this one off and got some pictures. I got this kit for cheap, originally the Rothman's kit. All complete, but the decals were in terrible shape. So of course I sourced some replacements from Indycals and decided to go with the Canon livery, as I've always loved that car. No real issues with this kit. Typical great fit, perhaps a little lacking in out of the box details compared to modern kits, but still built up great. The only thing I did was add some simple ignition wiring and also stuck my finger (unknowingly) on one of the #14 decals on the side. Did not notice until it was too late to do anything about, of course. Oh well, these things happen. So this one moves onto the shelf and off the workbench. Thanks for looking.

Thank you! Those wheels are actually 100% only thanks to Michael at Indycals though. All I did was dip them in water and slide them on there.

Wow! I'd never have guessed those were decals! I am in the process of applying IndyCal decals to my Jean Alesi Indy car right now. They are good decals to work with; very forgiving to accidental bending or whatever else can happen when one tries to apply decals carefully. lol

Absolutely and they look great. Michael has made several of my last builds look better than they would have. Definitely a huge asset to all of us building race cars.
