As I am in a holding pattern on on the Eagle, I thought I would work on these this weekend. They will soon be back in the closet but it will keep my interest in being at the work bench (kitchen counter in my case). Up first is the 1973 Volstedt car of Bill Simpson, someone once wrote of this car "It didn't look right and it wasn't" I always liked it anyway. Also on the kitchen table is the Penske PC10, made a lot of changes to it this weekend and can now tolerate looking at it.

Excited about the PC10, Lance. Thank you for your hard work on these projects. It really makes a difference in the end.
Love your taste for the wacky, too. Looking forward to some of those as much as the main stream projects.

Always like the off-beat stuff. I look forward to the Volstedt car.

Lance, that’s some cool stuff in the works. Any more work on or thoughts on producing the Parnelli Jones rear engine ‘66 Shrike? That one really got my attention!
Cheers, Sandy

Lance.
You are going to bust my bank!
The material on your bench. Amazing. That PC10. Oh Boy..... Such a mega looking machine.
Edit: Just jumping back in with a quick question. Anyone ever do the PC9 and 9B?

Almost a decade ago, Lance did the 1981 Indy 500 winning PC9B. Indycals offers B Unser, Mears, and Alsup decal options. indycals.net/decals/indy/81norton.htmlGreat combo, builds into a fabulous looking car. If you are looking for one, Joe, you might post in the wanted section here. If you get one, I have references galore IIRC. Jordan

Appreciate the pointer about the PC9s but don't get me wrong.
A Penske PC10? Think it was one of the best looking machines of the era. It is just soooo sexy!
Lucky enuf to have one of each of the other 1982 runners of note waiting to be built. Sure there are one or two more that could be done.
It is what I consider 'my' particular era. Just grateful for the prospect of possibly getting one of these done. There are not many on my wish list but this is deffo one of em.
And going on from that I did then start looking up the 1973 Volstedt car. Nothing like finding out more and more about Indycars from years gone by. You chaps may not fully appreciate what you have all done for me personally. It may have sometimes come over as bit fawning or grovelley but not my intention. This forum and your collective knowledge and insight have given me a whole new and growing appreciation not only of the sport, but the hobby as well. From the 'Ampersand' 1/43rd kits to the 3d prints to these 1/25th beauties. And even on to having enough bottle to do my own scratch built stuff. Said it before and maybe this ain't the thread to express it in but there you are.
When a kit comes in the door from the USA my Mrs always asks, 'Another one'? I just shrug and tell her to blame the lads on the forum. Looks like I might be blaming you lot a few more times in the not too distant future.
Kinda exciting times with all this going on. Did chuckle. If the shortage of resin keeps Lance at his work station creating rather than casting, then maybe we should keep the resin from him a bit longer!

I totally agree with you on the PC10....a very cool car. Your wife is NO different than most ALL wifes..I think. My wife says we're running out of room to store them all. Even after they're built. LOL NOOOO...don't keep the resin away...Give him MORE!!! LOL
