Trying to get some long overdue projects finished. What color of orange is a good paint to use for the 2011 Indy winner?

Dayglo/Fluorescent Orange. Available in TS Spray, but I haven't used it, so I don't know if it's as unreliable as TS36 fluorescent red (which is definitely NOT the right color).

Flo orange. IndyCals just rereleased their ‘11 winner decals now that he can print fluorescent. The original release was flo-orange vinyl.

Hey Michael just curious what do your mean by TS 36 is unreliable? I was reading on here that guys use it for the Penske Stripes so I ordered some. Is there something better? Joe

Joe Joe, the TS 36 has a tendency to crack and sometimes it doesn’t take long to happen. I have a turbine build I haven’t finished because of TS 36. Need to get it stripped. I haven’t painted anything with it yet but I have picked up Mr Hobby’s fluorescent red to try out as a replacement.

Thanks for the heads up on this…yeah I’ve used other Tamiya TS colors in the past with great success but I’ve not used the TS-36 before. When I get to that point I’ll need to obviously do some test pieces.

I'll be trying out Tamiya Florescent orange soon, I'll do a report on it.

TS36 had the tendency to not be consistent. For some strange reason it will work and be bright 🌞 with some cans and other cans it comes out as a blaw red.
Rule of thumb, if it doesn't hurt your eyes, it's not flo red
Mr Color florescent red is consistent and it's correct.

Yeah I really need to invest on an airbrush setup to be able to spray that stuff and stop relying on rattle cans so much.

Lol.
