Its done. And it can run.
Apologies for shooting in artificial light but its dark here now
and I will not see any real daylight whilst home for the next seven days!
My Morlock existence at work means going in when it is just about light and
surfacing when its getting dark....
I got very lucky with the livery.
Years ago I knew a lad from Japan who was big on paper model race cars.
They had a series done by a chap known as Masa San who under the Metmania website
created the whole 1977 Japanese GP grid in paper models but done in D Form proportions.
They were quite cool and fun to cut and paste together.
I found the Kojima artwork.
Nothing worse than getting a Japanese or Chinese characters wrong which can change their meaning.
It took a while to change and colour correct the art work but worth the effort.
Found the No 52 car a tad bland compared to this one.
Think it was worth the effort. Helps show off the unusual lines of a car
that has nothing in common with the European designs of the day save the engine.
Gave it a run out. The real thing only lasted a lap and a half at the GP in Fuji
before getting caught up in a collision.
I went three laps before it spun off because I pushed too hard too early!
Finally I have something I always thought looked pretty cool to put up against
my Gunnar Nilsson Imperial sponsored Lotus 78..
