Jim and his Brother Pete built two Mallards for 1967, one for Jim and another to be driven by Eb Rose. The The Rose car was crashed and written off not long after it was built (I do not know the details of the incident), Herk continued on with the remaining Mallard till near the end of the 1970's. After his death, the Mallard was sold and restored to it's 1967 livery, now a few months ago this pops up on facebook as it awaits restoration.

I agree. I do have that other Mallard kit.... modify a few things, round off some corners, figure out the decals.... and BOOM!

Here is the other restored car when it was on display in Bedford In. in the mid 90's. The later body panels were displayed on a makeshift frame.
