My name is J.D. I play with razor blades. I’m from Indianapolis , IN, birthplace of speed. My first 500 was 1968, I was 4. I have been to 50 500s , I’m 59, I missed 5 years for my military service ( Navy F-14 avionics type ), I’m 59. The 500 is a ritual in my family as big as Christmas. I used to live 3 blocks from the track in Speedway. I could literally walk to the end of my block and see the Pagoda. I could have in my back yard but for the trees. I decided as a modeler that I’m doing the largest number of cares I can model from the 1968 race and a few highlighted other years and makes. I often have questions as I am a voracious researcher. I wanna have my documentation ducks in a row. I am a pattern maker and have the capability to make some of my own parts. I can vacuform parts and I’m working furiously on mold making and casting resin.
my Build schedule is as follows 1968 Winner #3 Eagle Offy 1968 #48 Gurney Eagle Ford (x2 for #42 car) 1968 #70 Lotus 56 (x3 for #60 cars)
