I know, an odd request from the guy who normally throws out the instructions. But does anybody have the instructions for the Protar Ferrari 126C2 1/12th kit? Mine seem to be missing. Also my tires are useless, anyone with a set of spares by chance?
(this build is off to a great start! NOT!!)
thanks
Paul

If I have to, I have one good front and one good rear, so I could make molds and cast some resin ones. But It's a lot of work I'd just as soon avoid if I can.

Just checked e-Bay, there are several sellers that part out 1/12 kits. Nothing on there today, but I've scored a few sprues of much needed parts over the years. Also I had a Tamiya 1/12 Datsun 240z Safari kit that dissolved its tires and was able to get new ones for that, so you never know.

I have tire sets for a Lotus 72 (2 sets), a 312T, a Matra, a Honda / Lotus 72 and a I know not what, and none of them are even close to the C2 sizes.
Wonder what happens to these things, 2 of them are fine and 2 are turning into goop - in the same plastic bag?
I can make resin ones, it's not hard, just takes time. And a lot of resin.

Thanks, but too late! That's OK, I also pulled out my Protar 312B2 for a look-over. Might start that one after the Tyrrell.

As far as the tires into goop problem, I have no idea what causes it. I've had the same situation you described, some tires in the same kit going bad, others staying perfect. I'm assuming some flaw in the rubber mix, maybe a Monday morning/Friday afternoon thing!

No more modeling for me tonight, mixing up a favorite: Southern Comfort (100 proof, of course!), ginger ale, and a couple of twists of lemon. Scalpels, paint & glue are now off-limits!

James Cabanes did a very accurate set of wheels and tires for this kit. He is a member of this forum and also can be found at F1M.
