Hi Everyone. I am introducing a two part upgrade kit for the old Tamiya P34 1/20th Scale kit. Parts included are the Air box and nose cone. This was how the original presentation of the car first appeared and also race in the International Trophy Race. I believe that most of us still have this kit. This give you an opportunity to change the look from the original kit. Comes complete with instructions. The kit will be $25.00 plus $6.00 Shipping. Thanks Kevin

Michael,
AH ... I see that now. My mistake was not looking at the description of this offering. I assumed that these decals were designed for the 1/20 Iritani Tyrrell P34 "Experimental" version. That was the car that was presented to the press in Sept 1975. This car was actually not a new car but was a test bed using a Tyrrell 007 chassis from the cockpit on backwards. After the testing session, Derek Gardner designed a new frame with an increased front track. The body work and markings of the Experimental P34 where quite different than the 1976 Press/Pre-Season version. At this point I have to admit that I had never noticed the distinction between the Experimental vs Press/Pre-Season cars.

Hi Kevin how does the air scoop look now with the changes made? I have been meaning to post the updated photos of the air box on the P34. Everything is the way it should be. The kit is available now. Silvercitymodels@comcast.net

If anyone in the USA is interested in doing Kevin's conversion and needs the kit, I have a limited quantity of new-in-box Tamiya P34 kits for sale, Indycals decals of your choice included. You can find them on my clearance kit page (a couple out-of stock items have been replenished as well as adding the Ligier JS11 kit) indycals.net/kits/clearancekits.html
