1/64 Design: The March - A Wildcat and that Norton Spirit

Here is what we're onto now fellas...













So after a bit of stripping I started to make these. Modifications included rounding - squaring/pointing of the nose and squaring off the front wings. I then puttied a rear cowl section. I like this design because if I cast this in resin, I can just pop the hot wheel body off and put my body on the chassis and voila! -ready to continue on modeling. I forgot Wildcats and PC's didn't have a full cowl so I will remake that prototype before final casting. I have to figure a suitable engine design due to the hot wheels twin turbo design.
Working on the sidepods adding brass to make covers and see which and where vent placement look good. Wheels are after market 1/64 alloys off ebay for build year style but I will probably default to the nicer 6 spoke. Cars are in order of thread title. Also forgot to mention the donor here is the HotWheels Turbo Streak. Please remember bodies are still sitting on chassis so gaps will disappear on screwed into place

I have to say this is incredibly impressive. But since you asked... that rear wing has to go - way to wide and the wrong configuration if you're going for as ran at Indy - compared to what you've been doing, that should be a relatively easy fix.

I'm thinking of thinning down the end plates or removing them altogether..Everyone ran so many styles. Is there a "general style" to apply here or should I customize for each individual race team or mfg?

If you removed the second element and narrowed the width so that it sits between the rear wheels and then use some sheet styrene for the end plates, I think you'd be good.
