Been in here from time to time to find inspiration and do some research on the cars I grew up with, so I decided to join and become part of the family..
My name is Chris and I hail from Champaign Illinois. I build custom nascar 1/24 and I collect 1/64 nascar.
Around 2011 I became so unhappy with nascar that I haven't cared about it in years..but, I always find myself reflecting on going to races with family or watching races and talking about them, the exciting finishes, the cars special paints..
Fast forward with Covid shutting things down -2020, I started to remember years going to time trials with grandpa, the 500, mears..the speed and smells..and who can forget the spin and win?!!!
I have a large 1/64 collection so I naturally found myself gravitating towards the offering in 1/43...until I saw prices. Oh my gosh! that was not viable for me since I wanted to collect alot of the wonderful cars from 70-92
So...with that said, thanks for having me here. Please look at my future posts concerning 1/64
