Gents; Funny story…hit record for TMC movie Speedway, assuming it was the Presley/ Nancy Sinatra movie…it was a 1929 silent movie about the Indy 500…great shots of cars in action and up close…several real race cars were used, as well as filming all over IMS…it was shot during the real 1929 Indy 500…dialog cards like “He just hit 116mph! That would be good enough for the Pole!”… Some pictures… The movie was a success… Very, very, very skinny tires… Has anybody else seen it? Tim

Never knew it existed. Glad to know. Seeing those shots are really something. I enjoy coming here and learning. Glad they used real cars and footage from the race.
Thanks for posting.
