We are pleased to officially announce that we are incorporating neon printing into our product lineup!!! We have invested in a toner based cmyk neon printing system that allows us to greatly expand our offerings.
We will be integrating more options into our lineup - new offerings as well as updating existing offerings, such as the Martini Porsches from 1976-78. These particular sets of decals will be offered in the standard CMYK or a neon option. The 1996 Indy winner has been brought back, with neon yellow numbers (I actually did that quietly a few weeks ago) and the 2011 winner will be coming back!
Historically neon colors were achieved through screen printing - such as decals produced by Cartograph. The downside to this style of printing is that each color is a separate print run, and typically requires minimum runs of 250 or more. This is not conducive to our 'on demand' printing system.
Toner based neon is not as saturated as screen printed, but our sheets - where applicable - will include extra markings to double up the neon. We also cannot print neon directly onto a white background so any neon markings that require white backgrounds will have the white printed separately.
As in our example below, a double layer of neon red is a good match for Mr. Color Flourescent red, which is what was used on the rear wing and air intakes. Until we get the product pages updated, all 1976-78 Martini Porsche decals are available in neon by request.
