I just listened to the clip of the 1992 500 finish. Bob was a great personality on TV and radio. Thankful for all he brought to IndyCar and racing over the years.

Sad news. I remember when I first got hooked up to cable in the early 1980’s and he and Larry Nuber would be broadcasting from some little dirt track on ESPN. Great memories.

Years ago, i caught Bob walking up to the old press room behind tower terrace. Always quick with a smile and loved racing. Thanks for your efforts Mr Jenkins.

Jenkins & Nuber, Jarrett & Parsons, Punch & Berggren in the pits, guys that knew their stuff and could inform the newbies without talking down to the veterans, I miss them all.

That really sucks. He was a great guy. I think only Gary Lee is left from the original ESPN crew.
