We just returned from Indy yesterday. It was great to be back at Indy! I must say I am beat! Trying to keep up with a 7 seven year old was very taxing for me, but I loved every minute of it! We had a grand time, we were not prepared for the weather and spent some of our time between Walmart and Meijer trying to find warm clothing. We found we were not the only ones!
We did get to the memorabilia show on Saturday.
It was great to meet up with some old friends and make some new ones. Michael(Indycals) and Eric(lazierfan) were there sharing a table with Stu(harveythedog).
They had some awesome 1/18 built conversions there for sale.
I also ran across Walt(oldphotos)!
I’m sorry that I did not get to meet up with Lance this year. Thanks to all the guys that gave my grandson souvenirs! Fortunately we did manage to take them all home! LOL! I’m sorry if I missed anyone else at the show. An hour and a half at a memorabilia show with a seven year old was pretty long…..
I met up with John Fulton(2lapsdown) at the track, great to see you again John! I also wanted to say a special thanks to Walt and Lance for recommending the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis my grandson thoroughly enjoyed it! If you need something to do with your kids while in Indianapolis, I highly recommend it.
Finally the race! What a great day, my grandson got to see history on his first trip to Indy, congratulations to Helio! My grandson thoroughly enjoyed the race and he couldn’t stop laughing at Helio’s antics after the race. However, he is a Pagenaud fan and was happy to see him drive up through the field to a third place finish! I guess a picture is worth a thousand words!
