Here is another wip. This time it is the 86 Marchs driven by Tom Sneva and Johnny Rutherford. Both will be built pretty much box stock from the amt kit with other details so they can be displayed with the cowlings off.

Good job.
From the looks of that bench, I have to ask: Just how many cars do you have started? ;D

I like how your paint jobs are looking. Very clean and exact. That is a very attractive SKOAL Bandit Green, I like it. Cant wait to see JR's car with the decals on! Are you making it his 86 Michigan 500 winning car?

I think I have about 10 to 12 cars on the work bench ( or work tub ) I use the large clear flat storage bins to hold my projects. I usually have a bunch of stuff going at a time. the follow are the current projects.
68,69,70,71 Indy 500 winners 86 Sneva and Rutherford Marchs 68 Donohue Eagle Alex Lloyd 1/18 & 1/24 diecast conversions 92 Galmer 500 winner 96 500 winner full detail (see defferent thread on this one) Buddy Lazier's pole car from first IRL race at Disney's 1996 opener Arie's 96 reynard
I think that is everything...but I may have missed a couple....lol
Yes the Rutherford car will be his 86 Mich. 500 winner. I have 2 different engine covers made for this car. one with the exhaust hole filled in and one with out. After research I found that the Rutherford car at indy looked like the 86 winner and had no exhaust exit in the rear of the engine cover however at mich. it did ( same as the 87 500 winner )

Nice work. You certainly make me look lazy. 10-12 cars at one time? You've got to be kidding me. I tried doing 2 at a time last summer and it turned into a cluster****.
Where did you get the Skoal decals?
Gregg

It looks fantastic. I thought that you were using the old Speedway Graphics sheet. I have that somewhere and if I scan it, can anyone transfer it to a decal sheet?

LOOKS GOOD!!!
Not being a fan of the "Klingon War Cruiser" type race cars, this one is looking sharp! Keep up the good work!
Best to you

I always thought the 86 Marchs had the most interesting Roll Hoop or should I say "Roll Triangle" ;D Never looked that safe. Looking good...... anymore updates lately?

Here a couple of updated pictures from over the weekend. I finished the interior tub. glued the upper and lower bodies together and put in the front wing. Now working on all of the engine plumbing. Will post a few more pictures later this week. someone asked what color I used. It is just plain old testors in the rattle can. But if you use it be sure to warm the can first as it comes out heavy.
