Man, was it good to be back at a show again. Our last was the IPMS Roscoe Turner last March. Roscoe Turner guys to be applauded for bravely putting on what turned out to be a great show with over 900 really nice models on the tables (they had 500+ last year). There was a really strong representation of Forum members and Open Wheel builders in attendance: Walt (oldphotos), Lance, Craig Miller l(clm1545) and his son Scott, Fred Lombardo with his nephew and niece, Kevin (kuzlynn) and his wife, Eric, me (spyder) and my wife, Ed Sexton. If I have missed anyone, please forgive and correct me. A must make show next year.
A couple of notes: there were a lot of Indy Cars on the table. There were more youngsters (12 to 18 year olds) in attendance on the contest tables and in the vendors room. And there were more women present (many, no doubt, shepherding some of the youngsters). And I only bought one model (no, not because my wife was there): Kevin Kuzman's '66 Eagle Indy Car. It is beautiful, his best effort yet. New venue was great and I hear they will return to the Cooke County Fairgrounds again next year. Can't wait to do it again. spyder.

We really need to do a group photo, maybe next year. I missed Craig, Eric, you and Ed. The Open Wheel category has been growing steadily for the last few years. We had some problems with models getting entered in multiple categories, so I think the entries were more like 750 or so. (still working on that) I did pick up Lances 81 "Pepsi Challenger" Eagle from Fred. What a cool car...

If you squint really hard in one of the pictures, you see my back. It was fun as always and I bet Kevin won't forget who I am now. My vendor tables are put with Atlantis and Revell as I do freelance work for them now and again.

Looking at those tables....
.... I am in the wrong country!
Just really nice to see everyone out and getting together like that.
