Hi
Finally getting around to converting a 1/18 Carpentier Forsythe into a Moore Players
A few issues I am hoping some can provide solutions
1/ Removed the 20+ year old decals no problem but they seem to have left a residue on the plastic parts (front and rear wings). Can't seem to remove it and don't want to use anything too strong that would damage them - Ideas?
2/ When I removed the front wing to paint the lower element white, the wing snapped right where it screws into the body. The repair should be somewhat hidden but what type of glue adhesive is recommended?
3/ Worse case scenario - If I cannot clean up the wings enough, anyone have a colour match suggestion?
Appreciate any and all help
Mike (teamcool)

Hey Mike,
1) I used car polish to remove the residue on a 1999 Gugelmin that worked pretty well. Its harsh enough to clean up, but also leaves the area glossy afterwards.
2) I think everyone will agree that superglue is the best way for modeling.

Thanks Sadler!
Will give 1 and 2 a try Any suggestion for #3?
Mike
PS - Does the C stand for Chris?

Hey Mike, Not sure on the color match. I've seen and can confirm that Motomaster (Canadian Tire line) had a blue color that matched the Players cars, but if it matches the Action car as well would be a different question. And yes it does

Thought so. You made me a 1/43 Tagliani Johnson Controls Indy car many years ago and gave it to me at the Toronto Indy. The wax trick worked great and the superglue seems to be holding the wing together so far Thanks again

The colour is Ocean Blue and it's a 99% match
