I see that the composite landing gear built by All American Racers (AAR) is working just fine. Rumor has it Toyota is building the engines. I know a low blow dating back to the AAR Toyota affiliation of 20 years ago. I am sure that if Mr. Gurney was around to read this he would get quite a kick of it.

I enjoy watching SpaceX launches. I find them very interesting, especially now that they recover the first stage almost every time. The Texas 10K tests have been fascinating to watch. I could tell the first one was in trouble and going to hit the ground by how late the straightening happened. Second one was harder to tell from the camera angle. I watched this latest one with my son. Looked like they started the turn very early. Am still impressed by them being able to land it, no small engineering feet. Will be interesting to see what caused this post-landing eruption. Maybe fuel/gas pooling around the bottom of the rocket then getting ingited!?
